TUCSON       March 2010

To visit Corey, Melissa, Jackson, Lucy

and   Sean, Heather, and Wyatt

Melissa & Jackson Oliver

He loves his lengthy locks and so far refuses to cut them!  Maybe he's saving them up for  Locks of Love.

Nana's handsome son!

Nana accompanied both Jackson and Lucy to the playground and played "monster"--here Lucy has finally started to get tired--and monster is glad!

Lucy Loren

Dave and Nana along with Sean, made a most interesting visit to Biosphere 2, 20 miles  north of Tucson,  It contains  recreations of five of Earth's bionomes, plus a human habitat and a large ecological experiment facility.  It is no longer sealed, as it was in the early 90s--for 2 years, as an experiment to see if it was possible to carry an Earth-type environment to other planets.   One of the biospherians, Jane Poynter, wrote a book about the experience, "The Human Experiment:  Two Years and Twenty Minutes Inside Biosphere2"--another book added to my collection of "to reads".

Music ("Love Her Like I Love the Rain") is by Corey's band, Red Star Rebellion--he plays guitar.

Cllick here for the great rafting trip
