Celebrating Joyce's Birthday at Anastasia State Park/Orienteering

Orienteering at Florida Agricultural Museum--August 13, 2011

Three of us tried out the sport of orienteering at the Florida Agricultural Museum.  This involves finding one's way to various "control points"  on a map with the aid of a compass.  Of course we had to try the most challenging, consisting of 10 targets.  We did find half of them but in the search for #6, we found ourselves suffering much from the 96 degree heat and opted to call it a day.  We still got 2 hours of great exercise for both body and mind.  The next meet will be held in cooler weather, so we'll give it a go then.
